Document 22: Cartoon: "Wanted: Millions of the Young," [early 1930s]. The Records of the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom, U.S. Section, 1919-1959, Swarthmore College Peace Collection (Microfilm, reel 33, frames 974-77).
Introduction
This flyer used images of toddlers dressed in grotesque gas masks to try to convince the public to join WILPF. In the 1930s, the League continued to try to rally support for their larger program using the American public's revulsion at the idea of poison gas warfare.
