Lucretia Mott to Elizabeth Pease, 18 February 1841

This document reveals the tensions between Oberlin abolitionists and other mainstream activists. In the letter Lucretia Mott objects to the tactics used by Oberlinians in England, pointing out to an English ally that Oberlin represented only one form of antislavery activism.
